Create Disposition Line

Explanation

Use this activity to create a new disposition line for the disposition shop order. The disposition line is used to identify information concerning inspection, disposition, modification and repair for one or more parts to be dispositioned. When you create the disposition line you specify the disposition code and quantity for a specific part number. Since each part can only be connected to one condition code in the Lot Batch Master window, multiple condition codes are not allowed among disposition lines.

Prerequisites

This activity requires the existence of a disposition shop order.

System Effects

As a result of this activity there will be a new disposition line on the disposition shop order on which additional information can be recorded.

Procedure

1. Open the Disposition Shop Order window.
2. Query for the shop order.
3. In the top table, create a new record.
4. Type a quantity in the Disposition Qty field.
5. In the Disposition Code field, type the disposition code you have selected for this quantity of parts. Use the List of Values to select from available disposition codes.
6. In the Required Part No field, type the number of the part you are dispositioning. Use the List of Values to select from available parts.
7. In the Service Type field, enter a service type. Use the List of Values to select a suitable value and the component repair order line connected to service type(s) will be listed. If a service type is defined in this field, then it is inherited by the repair shop order created to perform the service, i.e. the material and operations lines are connected to the same service type. Note: This field is enabled only if the disposition shop order is originated from a CRO line.
8. Click Save.
