Approve Tasks

Explanation

This activity is used to approve tasks that are transferred from IFS/VIM (IFS/Vehicle Information Management). Each task is automatically set to the Preliminary status upon transfer from IFS/VIM. After the approval process, the status of the task is changed to Original. You must approve all existing tasks before the related work scope can be released. When a work scope is released an interim order header is created from the work scope.

Observe the following scenario: New tasks are transferred after the work scope is released and an interim order structure is created. If the status of this interim order is either Partially Released or Released, the new tasks will receive the Added status. (The Added status is used to distinguish the task list that is defined after the release of the work scope.)

Prerequisites

Tasks with the Modification or Life limited Part task types must be transferred from IFS/VIM.
