Control Spare Part Lists

Explanation

Use this activity to check if a specific engineering part revision is used as a spare part in any registered product structure. Use Spare Parts.

Procedure

1. Make a query to list all spare parts which matches the engineering part revision you are checking.
2. If the result is empty, the engineering part revision is not used as a spare part.
3. If it is used, you might want to change the spare part list to use another part. To find an alternative, you can use Part/Engineering/Alternative Components.
4. Select the part number (for the spare part list owner) in Engineering Part Revision, then select the Spare Parts tab
5. Update the spare part list to use an alternative part as a spare.
6. Save.
