View Project Item Configuration

Explanation

Use this activity when you want to view the details for a configured part. It is not possible to change any information.

A configuration is a unique combination of characteristics and options that is used in conjunction with a configurable part. The configuration of a configurable part can be initiated in IFS/Project Delivery, IFS/Customer Order, IFS/CRM, IFS/Shop Order and IFS/Dynamic Order Processing.

When the status of the configuration is Complete, connected project item lines can be processed further.

Characteristics set to hidden in basic data can be displayed if needed by using Show hidden rows.

Prerequisites

• IFS/Configuration Back Office and IFS/Configuration Characteristic should have been installed. Also, the part should have a configuration.

Create, Edit, View Configuration

Procedure

1. Open the Project Product window and query for the required project. Alternatively, open the Project Item Navigator/General, Project Item Navigator/Consist of tab or the Project Items window.
2. Click the Items tab and select the line of the required part. 
3. Right-click on the line and point to Configuration and then select View. The View Configuration window will open.
4. Now you are able to review the information you are interested in regarding the configured part.
