Replace Project Item Revisions

Explanation

This activity is used to replace all occurrences of a specific part revision in the project product structure. If the new revision does not exist in the delivery structure, the part revision is automatically created as a new project part definition line.

The document survey and document requirements will be copied from the previous revision, if it exists. If not, the document requirements will be copied from the new profile defined in PDM.

Procedure

  1. Open the Project Product window, click on the Part Definition tab and query for the required project. Alternatively, open the Project Part Definition window.
  2. Select the part definition part with the old revision that you want to replace.
  3. Select Replace Project Item Revision option from the right mouse button menu.
  4. In the dialog box that appears, enter the revision or use the List button to select a revision, and click OK.
