Delete Project Delivery Structure Branch

Explanation

Use the menu option Delete Branch to completely remove a branch from a project delivery structure. 

If a supply object has been created for any of the project items that are to be removed, these supply objects will be removed automatically or alternatively must be deleted manually as follows: 

• Supply Option Purchase:
  If a purchase requisition has been created for the item, this will be deleted automatically together with the item. If the procurement has been processed further to a purchase order, it will not be possible to delete the item automatically. The purchase order must be canceled before the item/branch can be deleted. 
• Supply Option Shop Order:
  If a shop order with status Planned has been created for the item, this will be deleted automatically together with the item. If the shop order has been released, it will not be possible to delete the item automatically. The shop order must be processed back to Planned status before the item/branch can be deleted.
• Supply Option Dynamic Order Processing:
   If a DOP header with status Created or Unreleased has been created for the item, this will be deleted automatically together with the item. If the DOP has been processed further then it will not be possible to delete the item.

Prerequisites

Parts must not be issued to the project.

System Effects

The selected part and its entire substructure from the project are deleted from the project delivery structure.
In Part Definition, the number of occurrences will be reduced for each item that is deleted.
