Connect Document to Project Part Definition

Explanation

Documents registered in IFS Document Management can be connected to project part definitions. If the part definition has any document requirements, documents of the document classes specified in the requirements must be connected to the part definition before it can be approved.

Prerequisites

• The part definition must exist.

System Effects

• The part definition has one or more document connections.
• The document can be accessed from the part definition using the Attachments.
• The part definition is accessible from the document.

Procedure

1. Select the part definition(s).
2. Click Attachments.
3. In the Documents  link, insert an existing document or create a new one.
