Change Inventory Part Location in Project Delivery

Explanation

This option will allow a multi site company to move parts between its sites. The company will have the ability to send or receive any items required for a Delivery Project from another site that belongs to the project. This will help the company to meet demands from its delivery projects with ease and transfer parts to sites when the capacity on one site is high.

Prerequisites

• To be able to move parts to a site other than the default user site, the site must have been connected to the user ID in the Sites per Users form.
• To move the parts in project inventory to a location at a different site, that site must have been defined as an allowed site for the project in the Projects/Site tab.

System Effects

• The parts will be transferred between the sites as required.
• The On Hand Qty field will be changed according to your change.

Procedure

This option is available in the Project Product/Items tab and Project Item Navigator/Consist Of tab:

1. In any of the above windows query for your project and select the parts that you wish to transfer.
2. Right click and select the Change Inventory Part Location menu option.
3. In the Move Inventory Partwindow enter a new line and specify the quantity you wish to transfer in the Qty to Move field along with the required site.
4. Save the change.
5. Observe that the Available quantity and the On hand quantity will change according to the change you made.
