Add Routing Operation Template

Explanation

This activity will enable you to add the operations of a routing template in the project delivery structure along with project specific operations. You will also be able to update the operations in the project delivery structure with the latest routing template operations that may have occurred due to project manufacturing requirements.

Prerequisites

• The delivery project should exist.
• The provide code of the project item should be Make.
• A routing template should exist.

System Effects

• The Routing Template ID will be added in the Project Product/Item tab.
• The template operations will be copied to the Project Item Navigator/Project Operations tab.
• If there are any manufacturing routing operations already, they will be replaced with the template operations.

Procedure

1. Open the Project Product window, query for the required project.
2. Click the Item tab and select a project item that has Make as the Provide Code.
3. Enter a routing template in the Routing Template ID field using the List of Values.
4. Save the record.
5. Observe that the operations from the routing template will be copied to the Project Item Navigator/Project Operations tab.
