Define Causes for B2B Contracting

Explanation

This activity is used to define causes to be used from the Business-to-Business (B2B) interface. A cause identity is used when reporting in a work order in order to categorize the cause of a problem. Using standard codes to describe the cause makes the reporting in of a work order uniform, and allows for easier and more consistent analysis of work orders.

Prerequisites

To perform this activity, causes must be defined in the Maintenance Basic Data window.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the selected causes are made available in the B2B interface when reporting in a work order or creating a fault report.

Procedure

  1. Open the B2B Basic Data page.
  2. Click the Causes tab.
  3. All Data is selected by default. Click Refresh.
  4. Enter a value in the B2B LOV Order field of the causes that you want to use in the B2B interface.
  5. Save the record. (F12)
