Handle External File Identity Control

Explanation

Use this activity to handle External File Identity Control if during the unpack of loaded external input file lines, errors were reported that occurred due to that some previous load built and  stored an identity string that was now found once again.

It is possible to define control columns on an external file template to be used to build an identity control string. During unpack of an external input file using such a template, a control string will be built for each valid input line. The control string is checked against already existing control strings and if the string is found an error will be raised. This functionality enables early control and denial of duplicate information.
If you are sure that the identity control is incorrect and then the transaction should be accepted then use this activity to remove incorrect identity control strings.

Prerequisites

Errors have occurred during the unpack of an external input file where the External File Identity Control has found out that duplicate information has been loaded.

System Effects

By modifying the identity control the unpack activity can be performed again to unpack and accept the previously incorrect lines.
