Enter Statistic Periods for Inventory and Distribution

Explanation

Use this activity to enter and maintain the periods created within IFS Supply Chain and IFS Manufacturing. This is useful in establishing statistical periods for use in inventory valuation reports. This mandatory task is to be performed by a system administrator or equivalent person.

This activity has the following prerequisites:

• None.

System Effects

As a result of this activity:

• The statistic periods for IFS Supply Chain are defined.
• Inventory statistics can be run in the Aggregate Inventory Transactions per Period window.
• Simulated inventory values can be created in the Create Simulated Inventory Value window.
• Queries can be performed in the Inventory Value Simulation and Summarized Inventory Value Report windows.

Procedure

1. Open the Statistic Periods window.
2. Query for the statistic year whose periods you wish to modify or view.
3. To edit the description of the stat year, use the Description field.
4. To change the begin or end dates of the stat year, use the Begin Date or End Date fields.
5. To reopen or close the period, click either Period closed or Period open in the Period Closed field.
6. Save the changes.
