Create Campaign Activity

Explanation

Use this activity to create campaign activities. This can be done by right-clicking on the Marketing Campaign/Targets tab and then clicking Add to Action. The Add Targets to Campaign Action dialog will then be displayed. In the dialog, you can select to which campaign, step and action you want to connect the targets. A campaign activity can also be created in the Business Activity window.

Prerequisites

• A marketing campaign header must have been entered and saved.
• A step must have been entered and saved.
• An action must have been entered and saved.
• A customer or lead contact must have been added as a campaign target on the Marketing Campaign/Targets tab.

System Effects

One campaign activity will be created for each target. A campaign activity is a business activity with connection type Marketing Campaign. If response categories have been listed on the action, the same categories will be added to the campaign activity.

Procedure

To create campaign activities from the marketing campaign:

1. Open the Marketing Campaign window and search for the required campaign.
2. Click the Targets tab and select the targets for which you want to create activities.
3. Right-click and then click Add to Action. The Add Targets to Campaign Action dialog box will be displayed.
4. Select Step No and Action No. Select whether activities should be created for all targets or only for the selected rows.
5. Confirm by clicking OK.
