Connect Business Activity from Business Opportunity

Explanation

This activity is used to connect a business activity and a business opportunity when needed. This can be done by right-clicking in the Business Opportunity window header or the Business Opportunities, and then clicking Connect to Existing Business Activity. The Connect to Existing Business Activity dialog box will then be displayed. It can also be done by right-clicking in the Business Activity window header or the Business Activities, and then clicking Connect to Existing Business Opportunity. The Connect to Existing Business Opportunity dialog box will then be displayed.

Prerequisites

A business opportunity and a business activity must have been entered and saved.

System Effects

The connected activity will be listed on the Business Opportunity/Activity tab. The connected opportunity will be listed on the Business Activity/References tab.

Procedure

Connect an existing activity to the opportunity:

Use the Populate or Query function to display the appropriate business opportunity in the Business Opportunity or Business Opportunities window.
Right-click and then click Connect to Existing Business Activity. The Connect to Existing Business Activity dialog box is displayed.
Select the activity that should be connected.
Confirm by clicking OK.

Connect an existing opportunity to the activity:

Use the Populate or Query function to display the appropriate business activity in the Business Activity or Business Activities window.
Right-click and then click Connect to Existing Business Opportunity. The Connect to Existing Business Opportunity dialog box is displayed.
Select the opportunity that should be connected.
Confirm by clicking OK.
