Business lead allows you to enter and store information about potential
customers. The information about the company, addresses and contacts can be
stored. Also you can enter activities and define representatives for the lead.
The first step in a new entry is to enter the business lead header together with
addresses and contacts on tab level. You can set stages for the
lead. The next step is to enter activities and define
representatives. The representative connected to the current user is retrieved
to the Main Representative field and a record is added to the
Representatives
tab.
You can create a customer from a business lead by using the right mouse button
menu. Also if you find your lead to be a duplicate then you can merge
information to correct lead or customer. Merge or convert of a lead record will
delete the corresponding lead information from database.
