Define Cost Set Estimated Material Cost

Explanation

This activity is used to store the estimated material cost sets for all the available cost sets.

Prerequisites

• Inventory parts must have been defined.
• The cost sets should be available. (If IFS Costing is installed, when a site is created, cost sets are created automatically)

System Effects

• The cost set estimated material cost information will be stored against the cost set of the inventory part for use.
• The entered cost set estimated material cost will be used as the estimated material cost for the cost set to which the cost calculation is performed.
• Further the cost set estimated material cost will be stored in part cost history when Copy Cost to Cost Set 1 action is performed.

Procedure

1. Open the Part Cost window and query for the part number.
2. Click the Part Cost Details tab.
3. In the Cost Set Estimated Material Cost field, enter the value. (Only positive values allowed)
4. Save.
