Assign Part Cost Group to Part

Explanation

Use this activity to assign a part cost group to a part.

Prerequisites

The part cost group must have been created.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the system connects a part to a part cost group. Any change made to the part cost group affects the connected part.

Procedure

From Part Cost Group:

1. Select the part cost group you are assigning to a part in the Part Group ID list box.
2. Click the Group Contents tab and create a new record.
3. In the Part No column, specify the part you are assigning to the part cost group. Use List of Values to select from available parts.
4. Repeat steps 3-4 for every part you want to assign to the group.
5. Click Save.

From Inventory Part:

1. Select the part you are assigning to a part cost group, in the Inventory Part list box.
2. Click the Misc Part Info tab.
3. In the Part Cost Group field, specify the part cost group you are connecting to the part. Use List of Values to select from available groups.
4. Click Save.
