Add Object Connections to a Contract Change Order

Explanation

Use this activity to connect objects to a contract change order (CCO). Objects such as sales contract, sales contract line items, sub contracts, projects, activities etc., can be entered as references to a CCO.

Depending on the change type it is mandatory to enter a project, a sales contract or sub contract in the header of the CCO, such connections are also displayed in the Object Connections tab. Multiple objects of the same type can be connected to a CCO, but it is only the connections that are entered in the header that are validated when activating a new contract revision. The others are for reference only.

Prerequisites

• A contract change order should exist.
• A relevant object that can be connected should exist.

• The object is connected to the CCO.

Procedure

1. Open the Contract Change Order window.
2. Select the Object Connections tab and create a new record (F5).
3. Select the type of object that is to be connected in the Object list. Optionally, search for the object that is to be connected.
4. Save the information (F12).
5. The connection is also displayed in Attachments of the object.
