Select Serials or Lot/Batch Numbers - Component MRO

Explanation

This activity is used to to identify the specific parts associated with the disposition line by serial number, lot/batch number, or waiver/deviation/rejection (W/D/R) number. This means that the different items are associated with different disposition lines depending on the disposition code defined on the lines. More than one serial item or lot/batch can be associated with a single disposition line if the part number is the same. However, you can only record parts corresponding with the quantity reserved for the disposition shop order itself.

Prerequisites

A disposition shop order in Released status must exist.

As a result of this activity, the specific part will be associated with the disposition line on the disposition shop order.

Procedure

1. In the table section of the Disposition Shop Order window header, select a disposition line.
2. Right-click and then click Record Serials or Lot Batch.
3. Create a new record in the Record Serials or Lot Batch dialog box.
4. Do one or more of the following:
   • Specify the serial number of the part you are connecting to the disposition line. Use the List of Values to select from available serials.
   • Specify the lot/batch number of the part you are connecting to the disposition line. Use the List of Values to select from available lots.
   • Specify the waiver number of the part you are connecting to the disposition line. Use the List of Values to select from available waivers.
5. Click OK.
