Generate and Select Repair Codes - Component MRO

Explanation

This activity is used to specify the repair codes that constitute the repair work scope, as well as to determine whether or not the repair code should be performed. The repair codes are groupings of material and operations recorded in the repair structure and routing.

When all modification tasks and discrepancies are defined and completed, it is possible to create repair codes. By default a generated repair code is included, but it is possible to manually exclude the repair code if required. You can manually add repair codes if the work scope should be extended.

If the service source is internal repair for a modification task or discrepancy, then an MRO shop order is created when the disposition line is approved. Material and operations are predefined for the MRO shop order based on the repair code setup for the part.
