Add or Modify Service Type on Cost Line

Explanation

This activity is used when you need to add or modify the connection between the cost lines and the service types. You can manually change the connection between the cost lines and the service types if the cost structure needs to be rearranged. However, you can only change between the service types recorded for the component repair order line. A cost line can never be associated with a service type that is not recorded for the component repair order line.

Prerequisites

• Cost lines must have been calculated for the component repair order line.
• The component repair order line cannot be in Closed status.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the cost structure is rearranged for the component repair order line.

Procedure

1. Open the Component Repair Order window and search for an existing component repair order.
2. Click the Repairs tab.
3. Click the Cost Lines tab and use the List of Values to update the connection between the cost lines and the service types.
4. Save.
