Define rules for Sub Compatible Unit Templates

Explanation

This activity is used to create and manage configuration rules for sub compatible unit templates. Compatible unit template structure is made possible to hold possible sub unit alternatives required by the design. A rule can be defined on every sub compatible unit template, by adding appropriate rule conditions. These conditions are evaluated, based on the configuration criteria inputs later in the configuration phase.

Prerequisites

Un Released sub compatible unit templates must exist.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, a rule will be created for sub compatible unit template and available for evaluation.

Configuration Rules - Sub Unit Template

Procedure

1. Open the Compatible Unit Template Navigator window. 
2. Select an appropriate compatible unit template in the navigator.
3. Click the Sub Units tab.
4. Enter a new compatible unit template record with a Template ID and Description and save or select an existing record.
5. Click right mouse option and select Sub Unit Rules.
6. Create a new rule on the Configuration Rules - Sub Unit Template window and save.
7. Define appropriate conditions and save.
