Manage Compatible Unit Project Connection

Explanation

This activity is used to manage the connection between compatible unit and projects.

Prerequisites

• A compatible unit must exist.
• A project and belonging activities must exist.

As a result of this activity a project is connected to the compatible unit.

Procedure

1. Open the Compatible Unit Navigator window.
2. Search for an existing record and select the top compatible unit in the navigator.
3. Click the General tab.
4. In the Project ID field, use List of Values to select the project you want the compatible unit structure to be connected to.
5. Now it is possible to enter Sub Project ID and Activity ID on the execution item.
6. Use the right click option Set/Unset Estimate Revision on the top unit to transfer the estimates to the project.
7. Save the information.

Alternative:

1. Open the Compatible Units window.
2. Create a new record or search for an existing record.
3. In the Project ID column, use List of Values to select the project you want the compatible unit structure to be connected to.
4. Now it is possible to enter Sub Project ID and Activity ID on the execution item in the Compatible Unit Navigator window.
5. Use the right click option Set/Unset Estimate Revision, in the Compatible Unit Navigator window, on the top unit to transfer the estimates to the project.
6. Save the information.
