Create New Revision of Compatible Unit

Explanation

Use this activity to create a new revision of a compatible unit. You can choose to update all compatible units in the structure or just update specific compatible units.

Note: A revision can be marked as an estimating revision by right clicking and choosing Set/Unset Estimate Revision. Hence the belonging execution items will transfer to estimations in relevant project activities. Right clicking and choosing Set/Unset Estimate Revision again will remove the estimations from project activities.

Prerequisites

A compatible unit must exist.

System Effects

A new revision of the selected compatible units will be created.

Procedure

1. Open the Compatible Unit Navigator window. 
2. Query for the compatible unit for which you want to create the revision.
3. Right-click when in the General tab and then click Create New Revision. The Create New Revision dialog box opens.
4. Enter a description for the new revision in the Revision Description field.
5. Use the check boxes to choose which of the compatible units in the structure that you want to create a new revision for.
6. Click OK.
