Use this window to add new sales rules to the sales configurator. Sales rules are defined for specific parts for given configuration family IDs.
You can create a new sales rule by querying for a specific part configuration revision of a part number, and then defining the sales rule name and the description. Sales rule templates (that can have several sales rules connected) can be connected to a sale rule. It is also possible to merge sales rules from a template. If you merge a template rule, further changes done to the sales rule template from which you derived the sales rule, will not affect the merged sale rule.
The Disabled check box indicates if the given sales rule should be disabled for the part and will not be executed during configuration process.
The tree structure for the sales rules illustrates all sales rules defined for the specific part number and will be executed in the sequence order they have in the tree structure.
All sales rules will be displayed if the top node of the tree structure is marked. You can use the embedded search function in the window to search for a specific sales rule or value.
Rule condition allows you to define logical expressions to determine selection criteria based on specific configuration values or ranges of values. If the expression is true, the action code is executed. If the expression is false, the action code is not executed. The absence of a condition (no conditions) means that the rule actions are always executed.
Rule action is used to define one or more actions to perform. An action is a rule in the form of a command that will be performed upon a condition rule, i.e., if the conditions evaluate to True.
You can also access the part configuration revision of the specified part/revision using this window. It is possible to directly test the added sales rules in this window.
