Change Property Settings on Design Object
Explanation
This activity is used to view and change the settings that control object
property inheritance from design parts to design objects. These include the
inheritance of terminals and wires by a design object from its connected design
part. By default, the Inheritable or Non-Inheritable setting is
received from the class property configurations and is common for all design
objects of the same class. This activity can be performed on one or more design
objects, at a time to change the default settings and to reapply default
settings if required. The Inheritable for Some option is set by the
system, only when a set of multiple objects are selected where a few of them are
can inherit terminals and wires while the rest cannot.

System Effects
- When the default setting is Inheritable and the object property
setting for terminals and wires is set to Non-Inheritable by
you, terminals and wires will not be inherited automatically from this point
onwards, even with a valid design part connection.
- When the default setting is Inheritable, and the object property
setting for terminals and wires is set to Non-Inheritable by
the system, if any manual addition or modification of terminals and wires is
done on the design object.
- When the default setting is Non-Inheritable and the object
property setting for terminals and wires is set to Inheritable by you,
terminals and wires on the design object will be inherited from the
connected design part, if one exists.
- When the system setting is Inheritable for Some,
both the Inheritable and Non-Inheritable options can be
set for terminals and wires by you, and will result in the effects described
above depending on the respective selection.
