Design Object and Design Part Documents

Design objects and design parts can have connected documents. These connected documents could be drawings such as PFDs for process objects, or they could be design specification documents such as:

• calculation sheets
• equipment details
• design sketches
• internal design group correspondence
• correspondence with governmental agencies, equipment suppliers, and site personnel.

Records for these documents are created in IFS/Document Management. The document is then attached to its corresponding design object in IFS/Asset Design via the Attachment Panel.
