Create Additional Result Calculation Rule

Explanation

This activity is used to define the basic settings for the additional result calculation rule. This includes specifying the wage codes for the new result and the calculation method that should control how the new result is calculated.

Prerequisites

In order to perform this activity, wage codes are required to be defined in the Wage Codes window.

Procedure

  1. Open the Additional Result Calculation Definition window and create a new record.
  2. Specify a unique ID for the rule in the Rule ID field.
  3. In the Rule Description field, enter a name for the rule.
  4. Save the information.
  5. Select the required check boxes for week days (Monday to Sunday) to specify the days in the week for which the additional calculation rule should apply.
  6. If the work starts in the late hours of the previous day (for example Monday 10 p.m.), select the Start before Midnight check box.
  7. In the Wage Class field, enter the wage class to which the rule definition should apply. You can select a value using the list.
  8. In the Original Wage Code field, select a wage code originally used for time reporting.
  9. Select an option in the Calculation Method field to specify whether the total original wage code result or only a part of it should be converted to the new wage code. Select an option from the list: Total, Below and Exceed.
  10. You are required to enter a value in the Calculation Base or Calculation Limit fields if the calculation method is set to either Below or Exceed: In the Calculation Base field, you can select an option according to which the new wage code should be converted. The available options are Scheduled Hours and Tariff Hours.
    In the Calculation Limit field, enter a value which will determine whether the hours are in excess (if the calculation method is Exceed) or if there is a deficit (if the calculation method is Below).
     
  11. Select the new wage code to which the calculation result will be converted in the New Wage Code field.
  12. Select the Validity check box if you want to make the rule definition effective in the system.
  13. Save the information.
