Adjust Registered Absence Requests
Explanation
This activity is used to manually correct the absence requests registered by
the employees whose schedules were changed by the Schedules and Rules
Assignment assistant. Absence requests might might need a correction if
they were registered for a period which now has a different schedule, as the
employee would be absent from work during different hours.
Prerequisites
In order to perform this activity, the Schedules and Rules Assignment
assistant has to be used to change a schedule of an employee who had
registered absences to take place during a rescheduled period.
System Effects
As a result of this activity:
- Employee's registered absence requests will be adjusted to fit a new
schedule assignment.

Procedure
- Open the Schedules and Rules Assignment Log window.
- Right-click the assistant run where there are absences or absence
request pending manual correction and click Detail. The
Schedules and Rules Assignment Log Detail window will open.
- Open the Absence Requests for Manual Adjustments tab. You
will see the list of all employees who have registered absence requests
requiring manual correction.
- Right-click an employee whose absence requests you want to adjust and
click Absence Requests. The My Absence Calendar window
will open, with employee's data already loaded.
- On the Request tab, find and examine the absence request.
If necessary, correct it so that it fits the new schedule.
- Save your changes.
- Go back to the Schedules and Rules Assignment Log Detail
window.
- On the Absence Request for Manual Adjustments tab, find
the employee whose absence requests you have just corrected and select the
Adjusted check box. This check box indicates that relevant
corrections were made.
- If more employees registered absences which have to be corrected, go to
step 4.
- Save your changes.
