Day-by-Day Schedules
[To Administer Schedules and Rules][About Working Hours Schedules]
Usage
Use this tab to create the Day-by-Day schedule ID, and to define the start date and the end date of the schedule. The cycle defines which days an employee is supposed to work, and how many hours within those days. You can either use Day types to add this information to your schedule, or you can enter the amount of hours directly in the schedule cycle. Day types often need to be used when employees use Time and Attendance to report their presence and absence. The calculation of clocking requires day types. If time is reported using the Time Management interface, day schedules consisting of hours alone will suffice in most cases.
The normal cycle schedule, as defined above, is supplemented with a substitute schedule in which exceptions from the normal cycle schedule are registered, e.g., work free days due to public holidays.
