Enter Standard Jobs
Explanation
Use this activity to connect multiple standard
jobs to the service request. After connecting a standard job, all previously
entered operations, material requirements are copied to the service request.
Prerequisites
- Information related to standard jobs must exist in
IFS/Preventive and Corrective Maintenance.
If selecting standard jobs from an item class,

The corrective actions defined on the item class must belong to the same
site as the work order.

The item class and symptom must be connected to the service request in the Service
Request/Prepare tab.

The cause to which the symptom mentioned above is connected must have
standard jobs connected as corrective actions in the Failure
Analysis Setup Navigator window.
System Effects
All information
regarding operations, materials, tools and facilities, and documents that are
entered in a standard job will be copied to a service request.

Procedure
- Open the
Service Request window.
- Create a new record (F5) or query for an
existing one (F3).
- Click the
Jobs tab and create a new
record (F5), or select an appropriate job from the existing job lines.
- Enter a value in the Standard Job ID field.
Use the List of Values to select a suitable value.
- Enter an appropriate revision in the Revision
field if more than one revision exists for the standard job. Use the
List of Values to select a suitable value.
- Enter the quantity of the standard job. At the time
of creating a new record, the value in the Quantity field is set to 1 by default.
- Save the record (F12).
To select standard jobs from the item class:

Open the Service
Request window.

Query for the service request.

Click the Jobs tab.

Right-click and click Select
Jobs from Item Class. The Select
Standard Jobs from Item Class dialog
box is opened.

Select the Select check
boxes of the rows containing the corresponding standard jobs that should be
added to the work order. To add all the standard jobs in the table, select
the Select All check
box.

Click OK.
