Move Non-Serial Part to Inventory
Explanation
Use this activity to move the non-serial part from a workshop to inventory. The
purpose with moving a non-serial part to inventory is to replace non-serial with
another, e.g., when broken.
In the Aviation industry, it is a requirement that all components and assemblies
that are not installed in a structure are accompanied with a tag that can be used
to clearly identify the component or assembly and its current status. This tag,
referred to as a serviceability tag, provides detailed information on the status
of the component such as serviceability and its origins. Through this activity,
you can choose to print the tag report when moving the non-serial object to inventory.
Prerequisites
Before a non-serial part is moved to inventory, the following must have been
completed:
- The repair work order must be created and retrieved in the window.
System Effects
- The non-serial object is moved to inventory.
- If the Print Serviceability Tag check box is selected, the serviceability
tag is printed in the serviceability status you entered for the part.
