Modify Appointment Parameters
Explanation
This activity is used to modify appointment parameters fetched into the appointment booking dialog
from the default values of the work order. If it is not required to change the
parameters of the appointment request the user may proceed to the next step
which is to Request appointments from the
Appointment Booking Engine.
The purpose of this activity is to generate the appointment request as per the new preferences of the user.
The parameters that can be modified are slot Id, appointment period dates, appointment mode
and slot availability. The modifications can be done only when the status of the
Appointment Request is
Preliminary or SlotsGenerated.
Note : This activity is the first step (if modifying appointment parameters) in
appointment booking functionality and triggers, either when booking a new appointment or a rebook
an existing appointment.

Prerequisites
To perform this activity, Appointment booking dialog must be opened.
System Effects
The Appointment slots get regenerated as per the new settings.

Procedure

Open the Prepare Work Order/Service Request window.

Populate (F2) or query (F3) for the required work order.

Right-click, then click Appointment Booking to open the
Appointment Booking dialog box.

The slot Id, slot length, slot window (if any), activity duration, period
start, period end and appointment mode will automatically fill in. Also,
appointment slots get generated in the slot table/calendar.

Change slot id from the list of values to a new one.

Change period start/period end dates.

Change appointment mode by selecting a value from the drop down menu.

Change slot availability state either by clicking on the check box or using
the right mouse button option in the table.
- Apply
changes and observe that appointment slots get regenerated as per the new
parameters.
Note :
The same steps can be followed to change other parameters and regenerate appointment slots.
To alter existing Appointment
follow below steps:

Open the Prepare Work Order/Service Request window.

Populate (F2) or query (F3) for the required work order.

Right-click, then click Appointment Booking to open the
Appointment Booking dialog box.

There will be a warning
triggered to inform that the work order already has an appointment and a
choice is given either to cancel or do a rebooking.

If Yes, proceed with the steps 4 to 6 in above procedure and alter an
existing booking.
