Change Data Collection Process

Explanation

In the Data Collection Process window, the descriptions for data items, feedback items and process details can be configured and changed. The descriptions are translatable via basic data translation. It is the process description that will be the caption on the button in the Warehouse Data Collection window, however, it can be changed if required. The Uppercase check box can also be changed for the data item. This will result in uppercase values used for the entry field in the Warehouse Data Collection client for the corresponding data item.

This activity has no specific prerequisites.

System Effects

• When the process descriptions are changed, the changes will be visible in the menu of the Warehouse Data Collection window.
• When the descriptions are changed, the changes will be visible in the Warehouse Data Collection window and the Data Collection Configuration window.
• If the Uppercase check box is selected, the entry in the input field of the Warehouse Data Collection window will be in uppercase.

Procedure

Configure the process descriptions of the process ID in the Warehouse Data Collection window.

1. Either populate or query for the process ID.
2. Change the description in the Process Description field..
3. Save.

1. Either populate or query for the process ID.
2. Click the Items tab.
3. Select the description corresponding to the data item.
4. Change the description in the Description field.
5. Save.

Configure the descriptions of the feedback items in the Warehouse Data Collection window.

1. Either populate or query for the process ID.
2. Click the Feedback Items tab.
3. Select the description corresponding to the data item.
4. Change the description in the Description field.
5. Save.

Configure the descriptions of the details in the Warehouse Data Collection window..

3. Select the description corresponding to the detail.
4. Change the description in the Description field.
5. Save.

Configure uppercase for the data items in the Warehouse Data Collection window.
