Approve Absence Plan of Employee

Explanation

This activity is used to approve absence plans registered for an employee using the My Absence Plans portlet or the Absence Plans web page.

Prerequisites

In order to perform this activity, absence plan is required to have Confirmed status.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the absence plan information will be available in overview windows such as Absence/Absence Plan tab, the Absence Plan and Requests window.

Procedure

To approve the absence on the Absence Plan Information portlet:

  1. Go to the Absence Plan Information portlet in the web application. All the absence plans registered by subordinate employees will be listed.
  2. Select the menu list for confirmed absence plans and click Approve.

To approve the absence in the Absence Plan page:

  1. Open the Absence Plan page and query for the relevant employee.
  2. Absences of the selected employee will be visible in the Absence Plans table, located at the bottom of the page.
  3. Select the menu list of the absence you want to confirm and click Approve.

To approve the absence in the My Absence Calendar window in EE:

  1. Open the My Absence Calendar window.
  2. In the header, find the relevant employee (it can be you or one of the employees you have access to). Employee's calendar will be loaded.
  3. Go to the Plan tab to show employee absence plans in the calendar.
  4. On the Plan tab, right-click the relevant absence plan and click Approve.
