Enter Summary Certificate Values

Explanation

This activity is used to enter summarized certificate values. It is more common to certify the application (for payment) at a summarized level instead of going through each item. The sub contract is used to define the level at which the application is to be certified, and to create a certificate for the application received. It is therefore possible to enter certificate values, such as the work value, stored material, discount, retention, deduction, retention released, and tax at a summary level, as well as to create a payment certificate.

If the Item Level Certificate check box is not selected, the Total Valuation tab can be used to enter total level certified values. These values are not distributed to the valuation line items. Further, these values must be entered before the valuation is certified, since the values cannot be changed after certification.

Once the total certified values for work and stored material are entered, the remaining certified values will be calculated by using the required data from sub contract default values.

Note: The total certified value cannot be higher than the released sub contract total call off value.
