Use this tab to view and change information about the machine and the labor operations needed to manufacture the parent part for a shop order. You can change existing operations or add new ones. Any additional operations affect only this shop order, not the entire operation list of the parent part. Operations may include machine information, labor information, or both. Labor information requires a labor class, crew size, labor setup time, and manufacturing factor. Both machine and labor information may have associated setup times, manufacturing/labor factors, or both. You can add a preferred resource for the operation if the system scheduled resource is not the one that the operation will be executed on.
If IFS/Purchasing is not installed, the following right mouse button functions are unavailable: Report Receipt, Cancel Receipt, Scrap, Credit, Rework, Undo Scrap, Undo Credit, and Undo Rework. Also, without IFS/Purchasing, you cannot add operations with Outside Work Center as the work center code.
Note: Changes to operations cause them to be rescheduled. Rescheduling begins with the selected operation. Once this operation is rescheduled, all subsequent operations (forward scheduling) or previous operations (backwards scheduling) are rescheduled. However, some scheduling changes may depend on previous or subsequent operations. Starting the rescheduling process with an operation that is dependent on a previous or subsequent operation may yield scheduling results that differ from those that would have been generated if you had rescheduled the entire shop order. It is your responsibility to determine whether rescheduling the entire shop order is necessary.
