When handling customer orders with stored sales parts, they need to be reserved and picked on a specific inventory location. Whenever the parts are reserved, a pick list needs to be created and printed in order to inform the packing staff of what and how much to pick for each specific order.
If a part is pallet handled, one pick list is created for each pallet. Otherwise one pick list is created for each location group.
Customer order lines that have the Shipment Creation option set to At Pick List Creation, will be connected to a shipment during the creation of the pick list. For these order lines the created pick list will always be created as a consolidated pick list per shipment ID. Note, from now one whether or not to print the pick list automatically in the flow, will be controlled by the shipment type instead of the order type. The pick list must be printed manually.
Print the pick list by using the Print Pick List window.
If a pick list has been created, and you no longer want to pick and deliver the entire reserved quantity, it is possible to change this in the Report Picking of Pick List Lines window. For single handled parts, query for the order in question and enter the required quantity in the Qty to Pick field. For pallet handled parts, query for the order in question, select the Pallet tab and clear the check box in the Pick Pallet field. For both single and pallet handled parts right-click and then click Report Picking of Pick List Lines. Click OK in the dialog boxes that are displayed. The quantity you do not want to pick is no longer reserved.
