Set Serial Non Operational

Explanation

This activity is used to set the operational condition of a serial to Non Operational. If the serial is Non Operational, it is currently invalid and needs exception handling. Non Operational normally means that the configuration of the serial is incomplete when compared to the requirements of the template structure.

Prerequisites

The operational condition of the serial must be set to Operational.

System Effects

• The operational condition of the serial is changed to Non Operational.
• If the serial which is installed in a structure is part of the minimum configuration (i.e., parts that are mandatory to be included in the given serial structure), the operational condition of the parent serial will be set to Non Operational.

Procedure

1. Open the Serial Structure Information window and query (F3) for your serial.
2. Click the General tab.
3. Right-click on the tab, point to Status, and then click Non Operational.
