Copy Risk Analysis
Explanation
Many projects are similar within an organization so there is a need to copy
the bulk of an old risk analysis into a new risk analysis to benefit from
existing experiences and structures. Typically one risk analysis could be used
as a template for all projects or certain groups of projects and the user will
then build on this to expand on the general problems and also any additional
problems specific to the new project.
This activity exploits an existing risk analysis structure and re-uses this
information for a new risk analysis.
Prerequisites
The new risk analysis must be created and saved before an old risk
analysis can be copied over this.
System Effects
- All the levels from the structure of the source analysis will be copied into the new risk
analysis.
- Any references to project activities define on a consequence will
not be copied into the new risk analysis.
- If the source analysis has a different analysis method from the
destination analysis then the action will be similar to changing the
analysis method on an existing risk analysis.
