Make Create Analysis Mandatory

Explanation

Use this activity to determine whether creating an analysis for a shop order or a purchase order should be required for a specific part number at all sites, for all part numbers at a specific site, or a specific part number at a specific site.

You should have all the analysis result lines registered and confirmed for all the created analyses to close the shop order operation.

Prerequisites

This activity has the following prerequisites:

• One or more sites must exist.
• One or more inventory parts must exist.
• The control plan must be in the Active status. 

System Effects

As a result of this activity, at least one analysis will be created when the control plan is retrieved. It is also  required to have all the created analysis result lines entered and confirmed for each operation.

Procedure

1. Open the Quality Basic Data window.
2. You have the following options when you make creating an analysis mandatory.

• Make creating an analysis mandatory by part number
• Make creating an analysis mandatory by site.
• Make creating an analysis mandatory by part number per site.  

To make creating an analysis mandatory by part number

1. Click the Part tab.
2. Populate the window or query for a part number.
3. Select the Mandatory Shop Order Create Analysis check box if  a shop order analysis should be created.
4. Select the Mandatory Purchasing Create Analysis check box if a purchase order analysis should be created.
5. Save the record.

To make creating an analysis mandatory by site

1. Click the Mandatory Site tab.
2. Populate the window or query for a site.
3. Select the Mandatory Shop Order Create Analysis check box if a shop order analysis should be created.
4. Select the Mandatory Purchasing Create Analysis check box if a purchasing analysis should be created.
5. Save the record.

To make creating an analysis mandatory by part number per site

1. Select the Part/Site tab.
2. You have the following options to make creating an analysis mandatory by part number per site.

• Make creating an analysis mandatory for manufactured parts.
• Make creating an analysis mandatory for purchased parts.

To make creating an analysis mandatory by part number per site for manufactured parts

1. Click the Manufactured Part/Site tab.
2. Populate the window or query for a part number.
3. Select the Mandatory Shop Order Create Analysis check box.
4. Save the record.

To make creating an analysis mandatory by part number per site for purchased parts

1. Click the Purchased Part/Site tab.
2. Populate the window or query for a part number.
3. Select the Mandatory Purchasing Create Analysis check box.
4. Save the record.
