Once a control plan template is in Active status, you cannot change it. If the control plan template require changes, you can make a copy of the control plan template rather than creating a new one with the same data. This also makes it possible to update any control plans referring to the previous revision. This is done when you activate the new revision.
A control plan template must exist.
As a result of this activity, a new control plan template revision is created. It is created with the same content as the control plan revision it was made from. It will have a new revision number and status Created.
