Use this dialog box to calculate the takt time. The calculation is as follows:
Takt Time = Operating Minutes /Average Demand Qty
The calculated value is saved, and it can be used as the basis for additional activities such as setting the line run rate, or as the baseline takt time for comparisons in the line operations analysis. When the calculation is performed, the system saves the date the calculation was performed, and also the demand date range sampled for the calculation. The average daily demand for each part is also saved.
