Set Maintenance Order to Under Preparation
Explanation
This activity is used to set a maintenance order to the Under Preparation
status. This is done when all the tasks which the planner wants included in
the maintenance order scope are assigned. When a maintenance order is in the Under
Preparations status, it is possible to:
- Specify instructions for tasks without connected
operations.
- Add additional operations to a predefined list or
cancel operations that are no longer valid.
- Add additional tasks to the maintenance order.
- Change the grouping ID in order to remove the
current execution logic structure (ELS) and create a new ELS based on new
grouping criteria.
- Connect document references to operations.
Prerequisites
To perform this activity, a maintenance order in the Initial Scope
Definition status must exist.
System Effects
- Operations (instructions and subtasks) will be connected to all assigned
tasks with the Work Order
and Execution Logic Structure distribution types.
- If operations are connected to the assigned tasks,
the tasks will be set to the Under Preparation status. If
predefined operations do not exist for any assigned tasks, these tasks will be set to
the Incomplete status.
- For a maintenance order with the
Execution Logic Structure distribution type, an execution logic
structure (ELS) will be
created automatically based on the ELS template defined for the given
grouping ID. The following effects will occur for the generated ELS:
- The planned start date for all the execution logic orders (ELOs) will be set to the date given in the
Req Start field on the maintenance order. This is valid for both grouped and ungrouped
operations.
- The dependencies predefined in the ELS template
will be drawn between the relevant ELOs.
- The grouping and ELO nodes in the ELS will be sorted in the
same order as set up on the ELS template. This sequence is reflected in the ELS navigator and the Gantt chart available in the
Exec. Logic tab. Ungrouped ELO nodes will always be placed at the bottom of the ELS navigator and the
Gantt chart.
- The duration of the ELO is set to the hour
consumption of the operation with the highest consumption within the ELO.
- The planned finish date for the ELO will be
calculated by adding the duration of the ELO to the planned start date.
