Cancel Task Operations
Explanation
This activity is used to cancel an operation (instruction
or subtask) connected to a task on the maintenance order.
If an instruction is to be cancelled, and the task it
belongs to is in the Under Preparation status or an earlier status, all
connected subtasks will be cancelled automatically. If the task is in the
Released status or a later status, the connected subtasks will not be
cancelled when canceling the instruction. In this case, the subtasks must be
cancelled one by one.
Prerequisites
- Cancellation causes must exist.
- You must have access to use the cancellation cause
when canceling an operation.
- Operations must exist on a task connected to a
maintenance order that is in one of the following statuses: Under
Preparation, Released or Started.
- If the operation exists as a work order operation,
it cannot have any material, tools and facility usage or man-hour
consumption recorded against it.
System Effects
- The operation is set to the Cancelled
status, but will still remain on the maintenance order till it becomes
historical.
- The given cancellation cause is retained on the
operation.
- If operations are cancelled for a fault task on a
maintenance order, the operations will be removed automatically from the
operation list of the fault (in the Serial Operational
Info/Fault/Operations tab).
- If the operation exists as a work order operation,
the work order operation is set to the Cancelled status, and the
cancellation cause is entered on the operation line.
