View Material Plan Graph

Explanation

This activity is used to generate a bar graph that depicts supply, demand, and project balance for a given range of date intervals.

Prerequisites

• An inventory part must have been defined.
• A period template must exist in the Period Template Maintenance window.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the system generates a two-dimensional bar graph showing data for a user-specified inventory part, including supply, demand, projected on hand and projected time phased safety stock. The graph appears in the lower section of the Material Plan Graph window.

Procedure

1. Open the Material Plan Graph window. The system defined period template will be automatically selected.
2. Query for the part.

• If you want to view information related to the standard inventory, do not specify project or activity information.
• If you want to see the material plan for the part related to certain project, enter a value in the Project ID field.
• If you want to see material plan for the part related to a certain activity, enter a value in the Activity Seq field.

3. Click Show Graph.
4. On the Graph Parameters dialog box that appears and change the default period range if needed.
5. Click OK to generate the graph.

Note: If the template start date falls after the current date, then the current date appears in the Period Begin Date and Period End Date fields and the period numbers 0 and 1 are used respectively.
