Disaggregate Family Forecast for All Spare Part Families
Explanation
This activity is used to disaggregate family forecasts for all spare Part
families. This background process generates individual spare
part forecasts based on the value defined in the Qty
Per field for the spare part and the Forecast Quantity of the spare part family
forecast.
Prerequisites
- A forecast for a spare Part family must be registered.
- In the Disaggregate Forecast for Spare Part Families dialog
box, the Allow Disaggregation check box should be
selected.
System Effects
As a result of this activity,
- The system disaggregates family forecasts for all spare part
families, creating spare part forecasts from the family forecasts for each part belonging
to a family.
- The Overage field in the
Family Parts tab is
updated to show the difference between the last calculated forecast and the actual
(rounded) forecast quantity.
- If there are any past due forecast records for the parts in
the family, a spare part forecast record of type Rolled is created on the run date.
Depending on the value of the roll flag for the part, this Rolled record contains either
the accumulation of all past due forecast quantity, consumed forecast, and actual demand
(if the value is Roll Out) or just past due consumed forecast and actual demand (if the
value is Drop Forecast).
- The Last Run Date field in
MRP Spare
Part Family Forecast
is set to the disaggregation run date.
- The Forecast Quantity is seen as part of the gross
requirements by the MRP batch process.
