Define Schedule Report Points
Explanation
Use this activity to define schedule report points. Report points are one or more fixed
points at which you report progress against production schedules for each production line.
These points need only be defined if you want to report progress at
an intermediate stage rather than at the end of the manufacturing process. This task is to be performed by a system administrator or equivalent person.
If report points are defined for a production line, then all production must
pass through each report point. Note that there are restrictions on adding or
removing report points once production is reported against a production
line.
Prerequisites
This activity has the following prerequisites:
- The routings must have been defined for the production schedule parts such that similar
series or routing steps occur at the same point along the production line.
System Effects
As a result of this activity:
- You define reporting points for a production
line.
- This information is used in establishing production schedules and in the
backflush completion process.
