Create Event

Explanation

Use this activity to enter Events to be used on PM actions to generate work orders for event driven maintenance. An event could for example be 'Power outage',  'Christmas shut down', or 'Breakdown in production line 1', etc. When a certain event is reported, work orders will be created from the PM actions where the event has been defined.   

An event count displays how many times one particular event has been reported. 

Prerequisites

Before information on the event is entered, the following must have been completed:

• The user must be connected to a site. This must have been performed in Sites per User.

System Effects

As a result of this activity the event can be used when defining event driven PM actions. When the event is reported, work orders will be generated from the event driven PM actions. The event triggering the work order generation will display on the generated work order in Prepare Work Order.

Procedure

Use the following procedure to create a new event:

1. Select the Events tab.
2. Use the New function.
3. Enter a code in the Event field.
4. Enter a description for the event in the Description field.
5. Save the information.
