The Follow Up and View Production Unit process is used to facilitate decision making, i.e., how to run a production unit as effectively as possible; at present and in the near future. The purpose of production follow up is to minimize disruptions, and production stops and ultimately increase profits within an enterprise. Generally follow up and view activities are performed daily.
In order to support the follow up and view process in IFS/OEE, production reporting (e.g., registering the events which occurred during the production phase) must have been performed. In addition to this, actions, work order details, and general user information is required in order to ease day-to-day decision making activities. Follow up and view activities can be performed using production rate charts, APQ charts, calculated APQ figures, event overview, information on created work orders and basic stop time information. In addition to this, production circles will be available when you perform follow up and view activities using Production Unit Overview. This information is available for Operators and Process Engineers.
A more summarized OEE overview which includes production rates, APQ values and short/long term trends is also available, and is useful when you want to evaluate the current situation of an entire plant or a group of production units.
